BACKGROUND

Aceites Guadalentín has been synonymous with quality and a passion for olive oil since its foundation in 1926. A family-owned oil mill has evolved to become one of the most respected oil mills both in Spain and globally.

CHALLENGE

Aceites Guadalentin came to Global Marketing Associates in the beginning of 2020, right at the beginning of the global Covid pandemic, and the subsequent closing of all major food shows worldwide. They were initially looking for a way to connect with new importers even though their traditional method of international marketing was interrupted.

Once the food shows reopened, they were seeking more effective marketing methods that allowed their brand to stand out stand out more effectively, compared to food shows, where hundreds of competitors were also exhibiting.

SOLUTION

Global Marketing Associates (GMA) was able to quickly launch effective marketing campaigns using their proven methods of internationals sales development.

This includes a targeted Custom eNewsletter (CEN) campaign that focuses on reaching thousands of potential importers that specialize in our clients’ food or beverage category.

I addition, we connected Aceites Guadalentin with new importers using our targeted Custom Partner Search (CPS), where we reached out to potential importers on a one-by-one basis in a pre-selected country or region of the world.

Finally, we were able to reach new buyers through our exclusive Food Export Market Directory, which focuses on only the food and beverage industry, with over 20,000 importer visitors per month. This allows our clients yet another way to connect with new importers on a 24×7 basis.

RESULTS

Aceites Guadalentin was able to develop new sales within the first 3-4 months of starting to work with Global Marketing Associates. This included new importers in Belgium and the US, who placed initial orders for over $140,000 USD.

Over the next months, Aceites Guadalentin continued to grow their export sales using the GMA export marketing system. This included a new German importer who placed a significant $300,000 USD order after 3 years of receiving the Custom eNewsletter. He commented that this continued marketing effort by Aceites Guadalentin “helped to build trust in their company and brands.
